There is so much to see and do within easy reach of Bridge Farm Cottages, Driffield and on the beautiful Yorkshire Coast
Just a few miles away from the cottages is the historical market town of Driffield. The delightful city of York (30 miles)is always a pleasure to visit, with plenty to do and see for the whole family. The magnificent Minster dominates the city, with the meandering cobbled streets of ‘The Shambles’ which is full of quaint shops, restaurants and pubs. Together with the Jorvik Viking Centre and The National Railway Museum, this historic city makes for an entertaining day out.
For lovers of the outdoors, there are numerous walks for all standards including gentle strolls along the banks of the canal, coastal walks or taking in the magnificent scenery of the Yorkshire Wolds. The beaches of Bridlington, Scarborough and Filey, all with Blue Flag awards, are easily accessible, with colourful promenades, inns and tea rooms in abundance, offering the perfect family day out. The theme park of Flamingo Land is a exiting and thrilling day out for all, but if you want something calmer ‘The Deep’ sub aquarium at Hull is fun and educational.
The area boasts a number of stately homes such as Burton Agnes Hall, and Sledmere House. There are also a number of pubs/restaurants within 3 miles.
